When I started out in this sport, I had no idea how to measure my dog for a properly fitted dumbbell. I ordered a stock size from an online store and then wondered why I was continually working on issues with my dog.
Proper fit is extremely important to give your dog to best chance to be successful. Yes, you still have to train your dog (sorry!), but do not make it more difficult than it needs to be.
I have made written and a video description of how I recommend fitting your dog. If you have access to a seasoned competitor, it is always helpful to get their help. Don't be nervous about asking someone to help you fit your dog, we are always happy to help!
